Dawn is also sweet, kind, and caring, and she becomes best friends with Eep Crood due to their similar interests and backgrounds. Production designer Nate Wragg came on early in the process, working with director Joel Crawford and the animation team to oversee the visual look and design and how the idyllic habitat came together. With their differences resolved, the Bettermans invited the Croods to live as neighbors on their land.

The movie features a stellar cast of designers including Carter Goodrich, Shane Prigmore, and Nicolas Weis, among many others.
